Grinding and polishing a pebble mosaic reveals the beautiful internal structure of the hard granites and quartzes, while still retaining the fascinating shapes and patterns of the pebbles.
The examples shown here were intended to be set into larger geometric design. The possibilities of this technique are very exciting, but future mosaics will need to be specially designed for their context. Maggy hopes to meet an architect or designer with a palace to build, or a church, or perhaps a bank!
