Gardens are a natural environment for pebble mosaics providing many possible sites: central features, intersections of paths, the foot of steps, beneath balustrades, as a focus for a garden seat, around a pool, or forming decorative borders to a patio or path. We try to “get the colour right”, choosing the right pebbles to associate with the sandstone or brick or limestone of the house & garden walls. The particularity of each place will guide the next stage of deciding theme & pattern, in discussion with the garden owners.
